Whisk
- 2 heads garlic
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Roast the Garlic: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice off the tops of the garlic heads, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Wrap them tightly in foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the garlic is super soft.
Mash the Garlic: Let the garlic cool slightly, then squeeze out about ¼ cup of the roasted cloves. Mash them into a paste. Save the rest of the roasted garlic for another use.
Combine Everything: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mashed garlic, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Chill Out: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
This Donkey Sauce recipe is all about that umami punch! The roasted garlic mellows out and adds a sweetness you wouldn't expect, and the Worcestershire sauce just takes it to another level.
